Call to Order: 8:03 am.

Introductions were made.

Beverly did a Budget Review.  
  • Income:   
    • $2,507 Parking Fundraisers (Indian Market, Zozobra and Pet Parade)
    • $394   Pizza Sales on Back to School Night
    • $2,148 T-Shirt Sales
    • $ 1,800  Parent Donations
    • $ 189    United Way/Albertsons
  • Expenses: 
    • $274 Back to School Teacher Luncheon
    • $1,248 T-Shirts

Funding Request: Ashley Kendall presented a request for 4 extra smartboard clickers.  Last year she purchase them with a grant and PTK’s help.  This year because of an increase in students they are 4 short.  $250 was approved for four more clickers.  Amy motioned approval, Margaret 2nd and all were in favor.

Funding Request: Barbara requested a thank you bonus to Bernadette.  She doesn’t receive a stipend like the teachers nor does she receive a holiday bonus like the cooks or crossing guards.  She helps PTK greatly with Carnival and would like to thank her for all the hard work she does.  Barbara motioned a $500 bonus, Michaelann 2nd and all were in favor.

Tutoring Program- Kim will be discussing with the teachers but so far there has not been a lot interest in the teachers continuing this program because of time and payout.

Room Reps- Frances spoke on the room reps.  She has gotten interest but there are some classes without a room rep.  She will put it in the eblast requesting help.  The room rep meeting is on September 23, 2015 at 8 am.

Carnival Planning-Cindy will make sure the donation letter is up on the website so people can start working on donations.  Cindy will also be starting the collection for stuffed animals for the Stuffed Animal Walk.

Grade Level Programming- An update was given on each grade:
  • Kinder will be doing yoga and that will be starting soon.
  • 1st grade will be doing a computer class and that will be starting soon.
  • 2nd grade will be doing Improv.
  • 3rd grade will be doing a free Trout in the Classroom program as well as an opera program with Mr. Abeyta.
  • 4th will be doing NDI and that will be starting soon.
  • 5th grade will be doing Wise Fool and that is being scheduled.
  • 6th grade will be doing Cooking with Kids they are negotiating prices and a schedule of times and types of classes.
