The Carlos Gilbert Science Fair is right around the corner.
All projects are due by Tuesday, February 19. We will hold an
in-school Science Fair on Friday, February 22. The purpose of
this fair is to
give all students a chance to display their projects, be judged, and win awards
in their categories, i.e., models for 4th grade, demonstrations for
5th grade, experiments for 6th grade and all other
students who chose to complete an experiment. Carlos Gilbert judges (we need
parent volunteers for this) will then nominate experiments for judging
by district judges, who will come to Carlos Gilbert on the morning of Monday,
February 25. The district judges will then award ribbons and nominate projects
for participation in the District Science Expo that is scheduled for Wed.,
March 6. Only experiments will be eligible for being judged by district judges
and nominated for participation in the District Science Expo. Also on Monday,
Feb. 25, we will hold an afternoon science fair from 4:30 until 6 for families
to come see all projects.
Please see the attached documents below for grade-specific requirements for your projects.
